Bullying Is something that has always happened, but the reach and effect can be a lot larger with the power of social media

Most children and some adults don’t understand what is really going on. Here is more detail of the actual event:

But what is Bullying?

Bullying is a form of aggression that involves an imbalance of power. It is characterized by behaviours such as teasing, taunting, threatening, name-calling, physical violence or other types of emotional abuse.

Bullying can happen at any age and in any place to any person. Bullies are often people who have been bullied themselves and are taking out their anger on someone else. They may be insecure or afraid of social rejection and use bullying to feel better about themselves by making others feel worse.

The effects of bullying can last well into adulthood and can cause long-lasting physical and mental health problems including depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

We as parents, need to teach our children to be resilient and how to act/react to the environment.
